Start free with TwizzloVagaro's United States base subscription is $23.99 per month, which Vagaro's own page marks "Only for a limited time", and it includes one calendar license. Each additional employee calendar is $10 per month for up to seven licenses; after seven licenses have been paid for, further employees are added at no additional charge. So seven or more bookable calendars is $83.99 a month. Twizzlo Business Pro is $29.99 a month flat per business.
Feature-rich salon/spa platform priced per employee calendar plus add-ons. A side-by-side that's honest about where each one wins.
Vagaro pricing in the United States starts at $23.99 a month, a figure Vagaro's own page marks "Only for a limited time", and that base includes one calendar license. Every additional employee calendar is $10 a month for up to seven licenses, and after seven licenses have been paid for, further employees carry no additional charge. That makes the ladder easy to price and easy to get wrong: three calendars is $43.99, five is $63.99 and seven or more is $83.99 a month, which is the true seven-license ceiling. Add-ons sit outside all of it: Vagaro MySite is $20/month, Forms is $10/month, Check-In App is $10/month, Live Stream is $10/month per license, Data Lake is $40/month and a Branded App is $100/month (Limited Time) plus a $100 one-time development fee. Twizzlo is the flat-rate answer at $29.99 a month per business, covering unlimited staff and unlimited locations. The honest version of the comparison: Vagaro is $6.00 a month cheaper for a solo operator, and Twizzlo is cheaper from the second calendar on. Every Vagaro figure on this page was read first-party on 2026-09-08.

How much does Vagaro cost per month?
Vagaro's United States base subscription is $23.99 per month, marked "Only for a limited time" on Vagaro's own pricing article, and one calendar license is included in it. That is the whole of the published plan price. Everything above one bookable calendar is priced per calendar, and everything Vagaro calls a premium feature is priced separately again.
Vagaro publishes the base and the per-calendar rule but not the monthly totals, so here is the arithmetic: $23.99 + $10 × (N − 1) for one through seven calendars, then a flat $83.99 for seven or more.
What the $23.99/mo Vagaro base subscription includes
The base subscription includes one calendar license and Vagaro's core salon and spa feature set: memberships, packages and gift cards, retail and product sales, and payroll and commission reporting. A Vagaro Marketplace listing comes with it.
What the base does not include is any premium module; every add-on and its price is listed under Vagaro paid add-ons and what each one costs below.
Vagaro cost per employee: the $10 per calendar ladder up to seven licenses
Vagaro states that each additional employee calendar is $10 per month for up to seven licenses, and that after paying for seven licenses you can add new employees to your account at no additional charge. Both halves of that sentence matter: the $10 is not open-ended, and the free-above-seven rule only applies once seven licenses have actually been paid for.
Priced out license by license: one calendar $23.99, two $33.99, three $43.99, four $53.99, five $63.99, six $73.99, and seven or more $83.99 a month.
Vagaro's own pricing widget follows the same base-plus-per-calendar shape. We checked it in Canada, where prices differ from the US figures on this page.
What Vagaro costs for a 3, 5 and 7 person team
Three bookable calendars is $23.99 + 2 × $10 = $43.99 a month. Five is $23.99 + 4 × $10 = $63.99. Seven or more is $23.99 + 6 × $10 = $83.99, and that is the ceiling: an eighth and ninth employee are added at no additional charge.
Twizzlo Business Pro is $29.99 a month flat at every one of those counts. The monthly gap in Twizzlo's favor is $14.00 at three calendars, $34.00 at five and $54.00 at seven or more, which is $648.00 a year at the ceiling. Below that, at a single calendar, Vagaro is $6.00 a month cheaper than Twizzlo Business Pro, and this page says so. Solving $23.99 + $10 × (N − 1) > $29.99 gives N > 1.6, so the crossover lands at the second calendar.
None of those totals include card processing, sales tax or any add-on module.
Vagaro paid add-ons and what each one costs
- Vagaro MySite website: $20 a month
- Forms: $10 a month
- Check-In App: $10 a month
- Live Stream: $10 a month per license
- Branded App: $100 a month (Limited Time), plus a $100 one-time development fee
- Data Lake: $40 a month
- Vera Receptionist: $10 a month
- Connect by Vagaro: free to start; Vagaro recommends a text plan
- Vagaro Payroll: $34 a month plus $5 a month per employee
A five-calendar salon that wants a website, forms and check-in is $63.99 + $20 + $10 + $10 = $103.99 a month before any card processing.
Vagaro credit card processing fees for US merchants
Vagaro splits its US rates by monthly volume. Small Merchants, businesses processing less than $4,000 per month, pay 2.6% + $0.10 per transaction on swipe or dip, 3.5% + $0.19 keyed-in, and 2.6% + $0.16 on tap to phone, plus additional monthly FANF and Mastercard location fees.
Large Merchants, businesses processing more than $4,000 per month, pay 2.29% + $0.19 per transaction on swipe or dip, 3.5% + $0.19 keyed-in, and 2.29% + $0.25 on tap to phone, plus a $10 monthly fee, plus additional monthly FANF and Mastercard location fees.
Twizzlo payments run through Stripe at your own Stripe account's rate, plus a 1.5% Twizzlo platform fee.
Vagaro text message and email marketing costs
Vagaro sells US text plans from $20/month for 1,000 credits. For email, its US Email Marketing line lists a Small 1,000 Credits tier as free with no extra credit charge, and paid tiers start at $10 for 5,000 credits.
Vagaro's base-features documentation lists notifications and reminders via text messages and/or emails as included, while the pricing article sells those text plans separately, so this page does not state how many text credits, if any, the base subscription carries.
For comparison, Twizzlo Business Pro includes 50 appointment SMS a month, then $0.03 each; Twizzlo does not offer text or email marketing campaigns.
Is there a Vagaro free plan, and how long is the free trial?
There is no free plan. Vagaro offers a 30-day free trial that auto-converts to a paid monthly subscription the day after it ends, and Vagaro states there are no refunds on the subscription.
Twizzlo Free, by contrast, is a permanent $0 plan rather than a trial, and Twizzlo Business Pro comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Vagaro vs Twizzlo: the per-calendar ladder against a $29.99/mo flat rate
The two products meter different things. Vagaro charges for a base plus each bookable calendar to a seven-license ceiling. Twizzlo charges per business and counts neither staff nor locations.
At one calendar Vagaro is cheaper, $23.99 against $29.99. From the second calendar on, Twizzlo is cheaper, by $4.00 at two, $14.00 at three, $34.00 at five and $54.00 at seven or more. Add Vagaro MySite to the Vagaro side and the gap widens by another $20 a month, because Twizzlo's booking page is included.
For the same arithmetic against other vendors, see Booksy pricing, Square Appointments pricing or the salon booking software shortlist.
What Vagaro does that Twizzlo does not
Here is what Twizzlo does not do, so you can decide before you switch.
- No retail inventory. Vagaro runs product retail; Twizzlo does not.
- No membership autopay and no package builder. Vagaro's base subscription covers memberships, packages and gift cards.
- No payroll and no commissions. Vagaro sells Vagaro Payroll at $34/month plus $5/month per employee and includes payroll and commission reporting in its base.
- No intake or consent forms. Vagaro sells Forms as a $10/month add-on.
- No marketing automation suite. Vagaro sells US text plans from $20/month for 1,000 credits and email marketing tiers above a free 1,000-credit plan. Twizzlo Business Pro includes 50 appointment SMS a month, then $0.03 each, with no text-marketing campaigns.
- No in-house card rate. Vagaro publishes its own US rates down to the tap-to-phone line; Twizzlo payments use your Stripe account's rate plus a 1.5% platform fee.

* "Business Pro, every feature" means the Twizzlo price shown is Business Pro at $29.99 a month per business, which includes every Twizzlo feature. We compare on feature parity: where Vagaro offers something Twizzlo doesn't (or vice versa), it isn't factored into the price. Estimates based on each provider's published US pricing (billed monthly), verified September 8, 2026. Providers may update pricing at any time, so always confirm on their site.
The calculator above models the subscription only. Vagaro is cheaper than Twizzlo Business Pro at one bookable calendar, $23.99 a month against $29.99, and this page says so; the crossover lands at the second calendar. The $23.99 base is marked "Only for a limited time" by Vagaro, so it may not be the standing price.
Excluded from every total above: card processing on both sides, the additional monthly FANF and Mastercard location fees Vagaro applies, sales tax, the $10 monthly fee Vagaro charges large merchants, any add-on not explicitly toggled, and the 1.5% Twizzlo platform fee that sits on top of Stripe's own fees on Twizzlo payments.
Why teams move from Vagaro to Twizzlo
Five bookable calendars on Vagaro cost $23.99 + 4 × $10 = $63.99 a month before MySite, Forms or the Check-In App. On Twizzlo Business Pro, every calendar and every feature is included in one flat $29.99 a month per business. Switching is self-serve: publish your booking page, add your clients, invite the whole team without per-calendar fees, and connect Stripe for online payments, tips and prepaid bookings.
What you get, what you give up
Where Vagaro shines
- Very deep feature set: memberships, packages, gift cards, retail POS and inventory
- Vagaro Marketplace listing included with the base subscription
- Payroll and commission reporting are in the base subscription, with Vagaro Payroll sold separately at $34/month plus $5/month per employee
- Card processing rates published down to the tap-to-phone line, for both small and large merchants
- Cheaper than Twizzlo Business Pro for a solo operator: $23.99 a month against $29.99
Where Vagaro users hit friction
- The advertised $23.99 base covers one calendar. Each additional employee calendar is $10 a month for up to seven licenses, so a five-person team is $63.99 and seven or more is $83.99
- The $23.99 base is marked "Only for a limited time" on Vagaro's own page, so it is a promotional price rather than a standing one
- Forms, the Check-In App and the MySite website are separate paid add-ons at $10, $10 and $20 a month
- A branded app is $100/month (Limited Time) plus a $100 one-time development fee
- Large merchants processing more than $4,000 a month pay a $10 monthly fee on top of the card rate
Twizzlo advantages vs Vagaro
- Flat $29.99/mo per business, with no per-calendar surcharge and no paid modules
- CRM, payments, tips, multi-location and insights are included rather than sold as add-ons
- The free plan is $0/mo permanently up to 150 bookings a month, with no SMS, rather than a 30-day trial that auto-converts
You run a single bookable calendar, or you need Vagaro-specific breadth: retail inventory, POS hardware, memberships and package autopay, payroll, or the Vagaro Marketplace, and you accept the per-calendar ladder and paid modules.
You have two or more bookable calendars and want one predictable price per business, or you want a genuine free tier while you grow.
