Mangomint vs Boulevard: Pricing, Features and Which One Fits
In short
Mangomint vs Boulevard comes down to headcount. Read September 25, 2026 and billed monthly, Mangomint cost $120 per location plus $10 per user; Boulevard Essentials $159 for up to five providers, then Premier $325 per location at its normal price. Up to five people the two are within $30; from six to 20 Mangomint costs less, above 20 Boulevard.
- Mangomint bills every profile, front desk included; Boulevard's Essentials limit counts only providers with bookable calendars.
- Boulevard's Premier and Prestige show limited-time prices for new customers; on the offer, Mangomint's bill passes Premier's at 15 people instead of 21.
- Half a point on $40,000 of monthly card sales is $200, more than the two subscriptions differ at any size up to 20.

Choosing between Mangomint and Boulevard usually comes down to one structural difference rather than a feature checklist. Mangomint prices per location and per person on the account. Boulevard prices its upper plans per location, with a five-provider cap on its entry plan. A four-chair studio and a 15-provider salon get very different answers out of those two models, and the answer flips at four and six providers and again between 15 and 21 people. Anyone running a Mangomint vs Boulevard comparison on feature lists alone tends to miss that, because the feature lists look similar and the bills do not. If you are weighing salon scheduling software on price, that billing difference matters more than any single feature.
There is also something worth checking before you ask either company for a quote, and it undercuts some of the Mangomint and Boulevard pricing tables still in circulation. In August 2026 Mangomint published two different price lists on its own website, and the version some comparison articles still quote is not the one on its main pricing page today.

Read on mangomint.com/pricing and joinblvd.com/pricing on September 25, 2026 (Boulevard checked again September 27, Mangomint September 28); one location, billed monthly, every person counted as a provider.
What does Mangomint cost?
Mangomint's pricing page, read on September 25, 2026 and again on September 28, shows a single plan: $120 per month per location, plus $10 per user. That comes to $130 per month for a one-person account at one location. Additional locations are $120 per month each. Our Mangomint pricing comparison with Vagaro sets the same per-user bill against a per-calendar model.
The counting rule matters more than the headline. Mangomint's FAQ on that page is blunt about it: anyone with a profile counts as a user, including front desk employees, not just the people performing services. A six-provider salon with two receptionists is an eight-user account at $200 per month, not a six-user account at $180.
Three add-ons sit outside the location and user prices. Phone is $70 per month per line. Marketing starts at $30 per month and is sold as message credits. Payroll is $50 per month plus $8 per worker. Appointment confirmations and reminders by text and email are included at no extra charge, unlike platforms that meter them, and Mangomint takes no cut of appointments booked through the platform.
Onboarding and standard data transfer are free, there are no contracts, and you can cancel at any time. Booth renters using your account count as users, which is worth modeling if you run a hybrid floor.
Why do some pages still quote Mangomint at $165?
Because Mangomint used to publish two price lists, and some pages still copy the older one. Portrait Care's Boulevard alternatives page, dated September 25, 2026, printed Mangomint Essentials at $165, Standard at $245 and Unlimited at $375 when we read it on September 27, 2026, while Mangomint's own pages that week showed $120 per location plus $10 per user.
This is the part some roundups still get wrong, and it changes what a buyer should do next.
On August 19, 2026, Mangomint's HTML pricing page carried a banner reading “New simplified pricing: Get more features for less” and described the $120 plus $10 per user model above. The footer of that same page told automated tools to read a Markdown version at mangomint.com/
The two documents also disagreed on who gets counted. The Markdown mirror stated that only staff who provide services count, and that front desk staff, owners and managers do not. The HTML page stated that anyone with a profile counts. Those were opposite rules for the same product, published by the same company, on the same day.
That explains a pattern across the search results for this comparison: the roundups quoting Mangomint at $165 per month were not careless, they were reading the version Mangomint pointed machines at. When we read both versions again on September 28, 2026, they matched: $120 per location and $10 per user, with anyone who has a profile counted as a user. What it means practically is that the price you are quoted is the one thing here you should confirm in writing before signing. This article does not claim to know which list Mangomint honored, only that both were live on August 19, 2026.

Figure 2. The same Mangomint account priced from the two price lists Mangomint had live on August 19, 2026: $160, $220 and $300 a month at 4, 10 and 18 people on the $120 plus $10 per user list, against $165, $165 and $245 on the pricing.md tiers. Only the $120 plus $10 per user list remained on September 28, 2026.
What does Boulevard cost?
Boulevard publishes three named plans plus a bespoke Enterprise tier. Read on September 25, 2026 and billed monthly, Boulevard's pricing page displayed Essentials at $159 per month for up to five providers, Premier at $325 per location normally and $260 on the limited-time offer, and Prestige at $455 per location normally and $364 on the offer. Billed annually, Essentials was $143, Premier $293, or $234 on the offer, and Prestige $410, or $328 on the offer. The asterisk footnote describes the Premier and Prestige prices as a limited-time fall offer for new customers only.
The plan caps are where the money is. According to the same page, Essentials allows up to five providers, counted as bookable calendars, with 250 free texts, 1,000 free email blasts and 50 GB of storage. Premier lifts the cap entirely and keeps the allowances at 250 texts and 1,000 email blasts with 50 GB. Prestige bundles the Forms add-on, 2,500 texts, 10,000 email blasts and 100 GB. The sixth provider in a single location is therefore a $166 per month decision at the normal monthly price, or $101 on the offer, not a small one.
Add-ons are priced separately: Forms starts at $65 per month per location, and QuickBooks sync is $45 per month per location. Email blasts beyond the included allowance are a penny each. Boulevard also carries HIPAA, SOC 2 and PCI Level 1 compliance, and requires its own Duo point-of-sale hardware to process payments.
One reconciliation worth recording, because published figures for Boulevard vary across the web. The page offers an annual billing toggle labeled as a 10% saving. Ten percent off the $176 list monthly price it showed on August 19, 2026 is $158.40, which is where the widely repeated “Boulevard starts at $158” figure comes from. That is arithmetic on Boulevard's own numbers rather than a fourth price, and it is stated here as arithmetic, not as a quote from the page. On September 25, 2026 the same toggle took Essentials from $159 to $143. Portrait Care's Boulevard alternatives page still printed “$158/mo per location Essentials” when we read it on September 27, 2026.
If Boulevard is the system you are leaving, our Boulevard pricing and alternatives guide compares seven platforms on price and billing unit.
Mangomint vs Boulevard: which is cheaper?
At one location billed monthly, Mangomint and Boulevard stay within $30 of each other up to five people, Mangomint costs less from six to 20, and Boulevard costs less above 20, or above 14 on its limited-time offer for new customers, according to both pricing pages read September 25, 2026.
For a single location, Mangomint vs Boulevard is a straight line against a staircase. Mangomint rises $10 with every person added. Boulevard sits flat at $159 until the sixth provider, then jumps to $325 and stays there no matter how many people you add.
Setting the two published models against each other gives a crossover between 20 and 21 people: $120 plus $10 per user reaches $320 at 20 users, just under Boulevard's normal $325 Premier price, and $330 at 21. Below that, Mangomint is cheaper, and clearly so down to six people; at the small end, where a three-person team pays $150 against Boulevard's $159, the two stay close, and Essentials is the lower bill at four and five providers. Above 20, Boulevard's flat ceiling wins, and the gap widens with every hire.

Figure 1. Published monthly software cost by team size, single location. Mangomint's per-user line crosses Boulevard's Premier tier after 20 people, or meets its offer price at 14. Sources: mangomint.com/
Two caveats keep this from being a like-for-like quote, and both cut against a simple reading. Mangomint counts front desk staff and Boulevard's Essentials limit counts providers, so a reception-heavy business reaches the crossover sooner than the chart suggests. And Boulevard's figures in the text above are normal prices, so a new customer taking the limited-time offer shifts the crossover down to 14 people, where both cost $260, as the offer column shows.
Example: five stylists and a front desk manager who takes no appointments, at one location, billed monthly. Mangomint bills six users, $180 a month, while Boulevard's Essentials limit counts the five bookable calendars, so the bill stays $159; Boulevard's page does not say whether other logins are limited (both pages read September 25, 2026).
Multi-location changes the shape again. Mangomint charges $120 per additional location plus the per-user fee, so two sites with eight people each is $240 for locations plus $160 of users, or $400 per month. Two Boulevard Premier locations, on the first plan that marks multi-location support, come to $650 at list, or $520 on the offer. The per-location model is not automatically the expensive one, but it is the one that punishes small satellite sites.
How do the feature sets actually differ?
Both platforms cover the core well: calendar, online booking, client records, point of sale, reporting, memberships and packages, automated marketing and multi-location support. Choosing on those is unlikely to separate them. If point of sale is the deciding feature, the salon POS software guide goes deeper than either vendor page does.
- Boulevard leans harder into clinical and enterprise work. ePrescribe, HIPAA-compliant records, an API, franchise and enterprise offerings, and a published Offset program for sharing card fees with clients are all listed on Boulevard's pages, read September 27, 2026.
- Mangomint leans into operational polish and cost transparency. Free onboarding and data transfer, no contracts, unlimited appointment notifications, retail and inventory included rather than sold as an add-on, and a pricing page you can read without booking a demo.
- Boulevard requires you to book a demo to get started, with no public self-serve trial on the pricing page. Mangomint publishes a free trial link directly.
- On the legacy Mangomint tiers (the pricing.md list of August 2026), memberships, Express Booking, the virtual waiting room and HIPAA compliance were all unavailable on the entry plan. If you end up quoted on those tiers, check which of them you actually need.
Clinical and medical work sits outside what this comparison is useful for. If you need charting against a medical record or prescribing, compare each vendor's clinical tools on its own pages; this article is not the right guide for that decision.
What do they charge to take a payment?
Mangomint's published in-person card rate is 2.45% plus 15 cents, while Boulevard's starts at 2.65%, or as low as 1% under its Offset program, according to the two pricing pages read September 25, 2026.
Mangomint publishes its card rates plainly: 2.45% plus 15 cents for in-person transactions and 2.90% plus 30 cents for virtual ones, with custom rates available to higher-volume businesses (read September 25, 2026). You can bring your own processor, but doing so disables Express Booking, self checkout, cards on file and deposits, which is a meaningful trade.
Boulevard does not publish a fixed processing rate on its pricing page, only a starting one: “Starting at 2.65% or as low as 1% with Boulevard Offset” (read September 27, 2026). It offers volume-based discounts on request and promotes Offset, under which clients pay a 3% fee on credit card transactions and the business pays 1%. Payouts are batched by business day and typically land two business days later. If processing cost is central to your decision, Boulevard is the one you have to ask for your rate, and you should ask with a current merchant statement in hand.
This is a real gap in any Mangomint vs Boulevard cost model built from public pages alone. On a salon turning over $40,000 a month in card volume, a half-point difference in rate is $200 per month, which is larger than the entire software gap between the two platforms at most team sizes.
Which one should you choose?
Most of the Mangomint vs Boulevard decision reduces to two questions: how many people will hold a login in twelve months, and do you need clinical features. Answer those and the rest follows.
Pick Mangomint if you run one location with six to about 20 people (six to 13 against Boulevard's offer), or three or fewer, you want the price before you speak to a salesperson, and inventory and free notifications matter to you. The per-user model rewards small, service-dense teams. If you are cross-shopping the mid-market, our Vagaro pricing and GlossGenius pricing comparisons cover the two platforms buyers most often line up beside these. For a free starting point, our Square Appointments pricing comparison covers its per-location plans.
Pick Boulevard if you have four or five providers and few other logins, more than about 20 people in a location, need location-level billing across sites, or you need clinical features, an API or enterprise reporting. The flat per-location ceiling is the right shape for a growing floor. Spa operators weighing the same trade-off may find the best spa management software roundup and the spa booking software page a closer fit.
Whichever way you lean, get the quote in writing and confirm the staff counting rule. Given that Mangomint counts every profile and Boulevard's Essentials limit counts bookable calendars, that is not a formality.
Where Twizzlo fits, and where it does not
Twizzlo, web-based online booking and appointment scheduling software for appointment-based service businesses, is a different shape from both sides of the Mangomint vs Boulevard question. Business Pro is $29.99 per month per business, flat, with unlimited bookings, employees, locations and customers, 50 SMS a month and a 30-day money-back guarantee, and a Free plan at $0, capped at 150 bookings a month, with no SMS. There are no per-seat fees, so the price does not rise with headcount, and adding a receptionist costs nothing.
The honest limits. Twizzlo's pricing page does not list memberships or payroll among what Business Pro includes; Mangomint lists memberships and sells payroll, and Boulevard's plans list memberships and commission tracking. Online payments carry your Stripe processing rate plus a 1.5% Twizzlo platform fee. SMS is 50 messages a month on Business Pro and then $0.03 each, against unlimited included notifications on Mangomint.
So the fair framing is this. If your objection to both platforms is the price of running a front desk and a growing team on per-seat or per-location software, a flat plan solves that specific problem and gives up the depth. If you need memberships, payroll or commission tracking, buy the platform that has them. You can compare Twizzlo against the wider market on the salon appointment software page or check the full Twizzlo pricing.
Frequently asked questions
Is Mangomint cheaper than Boulevard?
For most single-location businesses, yes. In a Mangomint vs Boulevard cost model built from both pricing pages, read September 25, 2026 and billed monthly, Mangomint's published $120 per location plus $10 per user stays below Boulevard's $325 normal Premier price from six to 20 people, and from six to 13 on the $260 offer, with a tie at 14. Below six providers the comparison is closer, since Boulevard's Essentials plan is $159 a month for up to five, lower than Mangomint at four and five. Above 20 people, or above 14 on the offer, Boulevard's flat per-location ceiling becomes the cheaper structure.
Why do different websites quote different Mangomint prices?
Because Mangomint had two price lists live on August 19, 2026. Its HTML pricing page showed $120 per month plus $10 per user under a banner announcing new simplified pricing. The Markdown version at mangomint.com/pricing.md, which Mangomint's own footer directs automated tools to read, still listed the older Essentials, Standard and Unlimited tiers at $165, $245 and $375. By September 28, 2026, both versions showed $120 per location plus $10 per user, but at least one roundup still printed the older tiers when we read it on September 27, 2026. Confirm your quote in writing.
Does Boulevard charge per location or per user?
Per location from Premier up. Read on Boulevard's pricing page on September 25, 2026, Essentials is one monthly price for up to five providers, while Premier and Prestige are priced per location per month. The Essentials plan caps you at five providers, so growth past that forces an upgrade to Premier rather than an incremental per-person charge. Premier and Prestige allow unlimited professionals, which is why Boulevard becomes the cheaper option for large single-site teams.
Who counts as a user on Mangomint?
On Mangomint's current pricing page, anyone with a profile counts as a user, including front desk staff, and booth renters on your account count too. On August 19, 2026, that differed from the rule on Mangomint's Markdown pricing mirror, which stated that only staff who provided services counted and that front desk staff, owners and managers did not; by September 28, 2026, the mirror matched the pricing page. Ask which rule applies to your quote.
What does Boulevard charge for payment processing?
Boulevard does not publish a standard card-processing rate on its pricing page, only a starting one: read September 27, 2026, it lists "Starting at 2.65% or as low as 1% with Boulevard Offset." It offers volume-based discounts on request and promotes an Offset program under which clients pay a 3% fee on credit card transactions while the business pays 1%. Mangomint, by contrast, publishes 2.45% plus 15 cents in person and 2.90% plus 30 cents virtually (read September 25, 2026).
Are there cheaper alternatives to Mangomint and Boulevard?
Yes, at the cost of depth. Square Appointments Free is $0 per location and GlossGenius Gold is $56 a month for up to nine staff, according to each vendor's pricing page read September 25, 2026. Twizzlo Business Pro is $29.99 a month per business with unlimited staff, locations and bookings, plus a Free plan at $0 for up to 150 bookings a month with no SMS. It does not list memberships or payroll among its inclusions, so it suits teams that want predictable cost rather than the widest feature set.
Does Boulevard or Mangomint offer a free trial?
Mangomint publishes a free trial link on its pricing page and lets you create a trial account with demo data before importing your own. Boulevard's pricing page routes every plan through a demo booking or an Enterprise consultation rather than a self-serve trial, so the fastest way to see Boulevard is to schedule a call with its sales team.
Boulevard vs Mangomint: which costs less for a 10-person salon?
Mangomint, at either Boulevard price, when all 10 take appointments. Read September 25, 2026 and billed monthly for one location, 10 Mangomint users cost $220 a month: $120 for the location plus $100 for users. Ten providers is past Boulevard Essentials' five-provider limit, so Boulevard means Premier at $325 a month, or $260 on its limited-time offer for new customers.
Mangomint vs Boulevard: which is better for salon marketing?
It depends on how you send. According to Mangomint's pricing page, read September 27, 2026, marketing starts at $30 a month for 3,500 credits, and unlimited text and email appointment reminders are included. Boulevard's page, read September 27, 2026, includes 1,000 free email blasts a month on Essentials and Premier, then $0.01 per email, and charges $2 per completed appointment for automated campaigns.
Mangomint vs Boulevard: which is better for client retention?
Neither page measures retention, so compare the tools each one lists. Mangomint's pricing page, read September 25, 2026, lists Memberships & Packages and unlimited text and email reminders. Boulevard's page, read September 27, 2026, marks memberships with autopay and a loyalty program on every plan. Ask each vendor which retention reports your plan includes.
