Car Detailing Price List: 2026 Rates, Job Times and a Template
In short
A car detailing price list gives each service one price and one time per vehicle size. Five U.S. mobile detailers' menus, read October 20, 2026, start a full detail at $180 to $220, and the four that list times book two to five hours. Where they split by size, an SUV or truck costs $30 to $100 more.
- Divided by its listed time, a full detail on menus read October 20, 2026, listed at $50 to $100 per booked hour.
- On menus read October 20, 2026, add-ons were fixed lines: headlight restoration $75 to $80 for an hour, engine bay $40 to $60.
- In our hypothetical template, two sedan full details and a wash fill a nine-hour day with travel gaps and list at $500.

A car detailing price list does two jobs. It tells customers what a wash, interior or full detail costs for their vehicle, and it tells your calendar how long each job holds a slot. Most price guides cover only the first job, with national ranges.
Our method: on October 20, 2026, we read the price guides that ranked for this search, from Nextdoor, Housecall Pro, CDC Auto Detailing, Gilroy Blackout and WealthVieu, from a Canadian connection. U.S. results may rank differently. The guides give ranges by service and vehicle size, but none lists a time for each service by vehicle size. So the same day we read five U.S. mobile detailers' own online menus: all five list prices, and four list times. The per-hour figures are our arithmetic, and the template's prices are hypothetical. Twizzlo, the publisher, sells booking software; apart from one link below, its product details and plan prices stay in the final section before the FAQ.
Once the menu is set, our auto detailing booking software page shows how a detailer gives each service its own price and duration. It also shows separate services for sedans and SUVs or trucks, with a gap after each job for cleanup or travel.
What do detailers charge? Five published price lists
Five U.S. mobile detailers' menus, read on October 20, 2026, start a full detail at $180 to $220, and their interior-only details list at $90 to $250. Three of them price an SUV or truck separately.
Piedmont Mobile Auto Detailing LLC in Winston-Salem, North Carolina: a full detail from $200 for a sedan or coupe, booked for four hours, and from $300 for a truck or SUV, booked for five.
Phx Mobile Detailz, a Phoenix-area detailer whose booking page runs on Arizona time: its Next level package covers exterior and interior. It lists $180 for cars (two hours) and $225 for large SUVs and trucks (two and a half hours), and its entry package is $150 for sedans and coupes.
Essentials Mobile Detailing, whose booking page lists U.S. dollars and Eastern time but no city: a full detail starting at $220 for a sedan and $250 for an SUV or truck, three hours each.
Lucky's Mobile Detailing in Norwood, Massachusetts: a basic full detail from $200 (two hours) and a deep full detail from $300 (three and a half hours), with no separate SUV price.
AZ Pinnacle Mobile Detailing, serving Mesa, Tempe and Scottsdale, Arizona: an Express Full Detail from $220, an Express Interior from $120 and an Express Exterior from $100, with no times listed.
| Detailer (location) | Full detail, sedan or base | Full detail, SUV or truck | Interior only | Exterior or wash |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Piedmont Mobile Auto Detailing LLC (Winston-Salem, N.C.) | From $200, 4 h | From $300, 5 h | From $100, 2 h (sedan); from $150, 2 h 30 min (truck or SUV) | Wash and wax from $100, 1 h 30 min (sedan); from $150, 2 h (truck or SUV) |
| Phx Mobile Detailz (Phoenix area, Ariz.) | $180, 2 h (entry package $150, 1 h 30 min) | $225, 2 h 30 min | Deep interior $250, 2 h | Not stated |
| Essentials Mobile Detailing (city not stated) | From $220, 3 h | From $250, 3 h | From $160, 1 h 30 min (sedan); from $200, 1 h 45 min (SUV or truck) | Quick exterior wash $50, 1 h |
| Lucky's Mobile Detailing (Norwood, Mass.) | Basic from $200, 2 h; deep from $300, 3 h 30 min | Not stated | Basic from $90, 1 h 20 min; shampoo and steam from $150, 2 h | Wash and wax $70, 45 min |
| AZ Pinnacle Mobile Detailing (Mesa, Tempe, Scottsdale, Ariz.) | From $220 | Not stated | From $120 | From $100 |
Table 1. Starting prices and listed times from each detailer's own online menu, read October 20, 2026; $ as listed. 'From' marks a price the menu shows as a starting price.
Read these as starting prices. Piedmont adds a plus sign to most prices and Lucky's to its full and interior details. AZ Pinnacle writes 'from' and Essentials writes 'starting price', so a large or dirty vehicle can cost more than the line shows.
Two menus also list a cheaper maintenance detail for returning customers. Piedmont requires a full detail first and starts its sedan maintenance detail at $50. Essentials keeps its $120 sedan maintenance detail (read October 20, 2026) for customers who had a full detail within three to six weeks.
How much more does an SUV or truck cost?
Where the menus split by size, an SUV or truck full detail costs $30 to $100 more than a sedan, or 13.6% to 50% more, on prices read October 20, 2026.
| Detailer | Sedan or car | SUV or truck | Difference | Difference, % |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Piedmont Mobile Auto Detailing LLC | From $200, 4 h | From $300, 5 h | $100, 1 h more | 50% |
| Phx Mobile Detailz | $180, 2 h | $225, 2 h 30 min | $45, 30 min more | 25% |
| Essentials Mobile Detailing | From $220, 3 h | From $250, 3 h | $30, same time | 13.6% |
Table 2. Full-detail price by vehicle size for the three menus that split by size, read October 20, 2026; difference worked out from the listed prices.
The size premium mostly follows the time each menu adds. On menus read October 20, 2026, Piedmont books an extra hour for a truck or SUV and charges $100 more. Phx adds 30 minutes and $45, and Essentials books both sizes for three hours and adds $30. If an SUV takes you longer, price the extra time rather than a flat percentage.
How long does each service take, and what does an hour earn?
The four menus that list times book a full detail for two to five hours, which works out to $50 to $100 of list price per booked hour on prices read October 20, 2026.
| Service (detailer) | Listed time | Starting price | List price per hour |
|---|---|---|---|
| Full detail, sedan (Piedmont) | 4 h | $200 | $50.00 |
| Full detail, SUV or truck (Piedmont) | 5 h | $300 | $60.00 |
| Full detail, sedan (Essentials) | 3 h | $220 | $73.33 |
| Full detail, SUV or truck (Essentials) | 3 h | $250 | $83.33 |
| Deep full detail (Lucky's) | 3 h 30 min | $300 | $85.71 |
| Next level package, car (Phx) | 2 h | $180 | $90.00 |
| Next level package, large SUV or truck (Phx) | 2 h 30 min | $225 | $90.00 |
| Basic full detail (Lucky's) | 2 h | $200 | $100.00 |
| Interior, sedan (Piedmont) | 2 h | $100 | $50.00 |
| Basic interior (Lucky's) | 1 h 20 min | $90 | $67.50 |
| Interior, sedan (Essentials) | 1 h 30 min | $160 | $106.67 |
| Quick exterior wash (Essentials) | 1 h | $50 | $50.00 |
| Wash and wax, sedan (Piedmont) | 1 h 30 min | $100 | $66.67 |
| Wash and wax (Lucky's) | 45 min | $70 | $93.33 |
Table 3. Starting price divided by the time the same menu lists, read October 20, 2026; $ as listed. The first eight rows are the full-detail services in Figure 2.
A low hourly figure is not a pricing error. Piedmont's four-hour sedan detail includes a forced-air blowout of the carpets, steam cleaning and shampoo if needed, so its price buys more labor. The figure matters for the calendar: a two-hour job at $180 leaves room for a second booking that a four-hour job at $200 does not.
Long jobs are also where a missed booking costs most: a no-show on Piedmont's three-step paint correction, listed at six and a half hours, empties most of a day. Our guides to a no-show charge policy and to online booking and payments cover the policy wording and taking payment when the customer books.
Add-ons and paint work: price them as separate lines
The sample prices extras as fixed lines with their own time, on menus read October 20, 2026: headlight restoration at $75 to $80 for an hour and engine bay cleaning at $40 to $60. Piedmont, the one menu that lists paint correction, starts it at $200 for one step.
| Add-on | Listed price and time | Detailer |
|---|---|---|
| Headlight restoration | $80, 1 h; $75, 1 h | Piedmont; Essentials |
| Engine bay detail | $50, 30 min; $60, 1 h; $40, 30 min | Piedmont; Essentials; Lucky's |
| Pet hair removal | $50, 1 h | Essentials |
| Odor treatment | Odor elimination $50, 1 h; ozone treatment $50, 30 min (requires an interior detail) | Essentials; Piedmont |
| Clay bar treatment | $75, 1 h | Essentials |
| Paint correction | 1 step from $200, 2 h; 2 steps from $400, 4 h; 3 steps from $600, 6 h 30 min | Piedmont |
| Ceramic coating, 3 to 5 years | From $1,000 | Piedmont |
Table 4. Add-on lines from the detailers' own menus, read October 20, 2026; $ as listed.
Condition is where a starting price rises. Essentials notes that its full-detail prices may vary with the vehicle's condition and lists pet hair removal as its own hour at $50 (read October 20, 2026). Listing pet hair, odor and heavy stains as add-ons lets customers see the extra cost before they book, not when you arrive.
Car detailing price list template to copy
Copy the template below and replace our hypothetical prices with your own. It gives each service one row, a price and a time for each vehicle size, and a calendar block with a 30-minute travel or cleanup gap.
| Service | Sedan or coupe | SUV or truck | Time (sedan; SUV or truck) | Calendar block with 30-minute gap |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Exterior wash and wax | $80 | $110 | 1 h 15 min; 1 h 30 min | 1 h 45 min; 2 h |
| Interior detail | $150 | $190 | 2 h; 2 h 30 min | 2 h 30 min; 3 h |
| Full detail | $210 | $260 | 3 h; 3 h 45 min | 3 h 30 min; 4 h 15 min |
| Add-on: headlight restoration | $75 | $75 | 1 h | Added to the main job |
| Add-on: pet hair removal | From $50 | From $50 | 1 h | Added to the main job |
| Add-on: engine bay | $50 | $50 | 30 min | Added to the main job |
Table 5. A copy-and-paste price list template. All prices and times are hypothetical, set inside the ranges the five menus listed on October 20, 2026; replace them with your own.
Time three of your own jobs for each service and vehicle size, and list the longest.
Price each line, then divide the price by its time. The template's full detail lists at $70 an hour for a sedan and $69.33 for an SUV or truck, near the middle of Table 3.
Add a gap for travel or cleanup to every block so two bookings never overlap.
Write 'from' beside any price that condition can raise, and list the add-ons that raise it.
Check that a full day fits: two sedan full details and one sedan wash take eight hours and 45 minutes in blocks, inside a nine-hour day, and list at $500.
How to set prices for your area
Use the sample to check your menu's structure, not to copy its prices: five mobile detailers in at least three states cannot show what customers in your area pay.
Before you publish, read the menus of three or four detailers near you for the same services, and note whether they list times. The Nextdoor and CDC Auto Detailing guides name location, vehicle size and condition among the main price factors. The menus show the last two: three split by vehicle size, and Essentials notes that condition can change its price. Then check what each booked hour must cover: products, fuel for a mobile van, insurance and your own pay.
All five menus price by package rather than by the hour, and three add a vehicle-size step. CDC Auto Detailing's guide reserves hourly rates for complex paint correction and custom jobs; Piedmont's paint correction lines turn that work into fixed steps with longer times.
Where Twizzlo fits
Twizzlo is web-based online booking and appointment scheduling software for appointment-based service businesses. For a detailer, it turns a price list like the template above into a booking page.
Each service has its own price and duration, so a sedan full detail and an SUV full detail can be separate services with their own times. Buffer times hold the travel or cleanup gap after each job. The booking page is open around the clock and shows only the times a detailer is free.
For long jobs such as paint correction, prepaid bookings collect the full service price through Stripe when the customer books. Customer profiles keep notes and visit history.
Free is $0 a month for up to 150 bookings a month, free forever and not a trial, with no SMS. Business Pro is $29.99 a month per business for unlimited bookings, with 50 SMS a month included, then $0.03 each, and a 30-day money-back guarantee. Both plans include unlimited staff and locations. Online payments carry your Stripe processing rate plus a 1.5% Twizzlo platform fee. Details are on the Twizzlo pricing page.
A solo detailer doing three jobs a day, five days a week, books about 65 jobs a month (three jobs times five days times 52 weeks, divided by 12), within Free's 150. Two detailers at that pace book 130, still within Free. A third detailer takes the business to 195 a month, so it belongs on Business Pro.
Sending one text reminder per booking, those 195 jobs use the 50 included texts plus 145 more at $0.03, or $4.35, for $34.34 a month. If customers prepay 40 sedan full details at the template's $210, the $8,400 carries $126 in platform fees before Stripe's rate.
Twizzlo's /features/ page does not list route planning or dispatch. A business running several vans that needs them should compare the field-service tools in our best auto detailing software guide, and our booking software comparisons cover other booking tools.
You can start on the Free plan and enter your price list as services before your next busy weekend. Switch to Business Pro when bookings pass 150 a month or you want text reminders.

How long does a full detail take?
The four detailers in our sample that list times booked two to five hours for a full detail, on menus read October 20, 2026. The five-hour listing was for a truck or SUV.
Should a detailing price list say 'starting at'?
Yes, if condition can raise the price. Four of the five menus we read on October 20, 2026, mark prices with 'from', 'starting price' or a plus sign. Essentials also lists pet hair removal as its own line.
Should I charge more for pet hair or a very dirty car?
